Rodney Pearce - Lead Pastor
Pastor Rodney Pearce surrendered his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in 1998, and from there he followed God's path to become a preaching pastor, which led him to serve our church as the Lead Pastor since 2005. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees, both majoring in Biblical Studies and minoring in Church Administration, from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a leader, he has an insatiable desire to govern a church that makes a difference in the lives of individual people, it's surrounding communities, and the world.
Pastor Rodney and his wife, Carla, are the proud parents of four wonderful children named Rachel, Langley, Leyton, and Lawson. He loves the outdoors, reading, and spending quality time with his family.
Luke 4:18 - The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.
Scooter Murphy - Temple Wilson Pastor
Scooter felt God calling him towards ministry while in college, and in turn attended Heritage Bible College for Pastoral Studies. He is a North Carolina native and loves the local church. With a background in camping ministry, children’s ministry, student ministry, and college ministry Scooter now leads Temple Wilson.
He is a die-hard supporter of the NC State Wolfpack and loves spending time with his family. He and his wife Laura have 5 children.

Glen Raven - Family Life Pastor
After a 45 year career as a Logistician professional, which allowed him to reside in 8 different states, Pastor Glen and Wilma, his wife of 50 years, settled here at Temple in 2014. Pastor Glen has served on our Elder, Deacon, and Trustee boards and is now our Family Life Pastor as of 2020. He currently serves as our Connect Group Director and a teacher in our weekly Bible studies, our counseling ministry, pre-marital counseling, new membership orientation classes, MemberCare ministry, as well as officiating funerals and weddings.
Pastor Glen and Wilma are the proud parents of two children, Glen Jr. and Glenda Narcisse, and the proud grandparents of 8 grandkids.

John Eklund - Recovery ALIVE! Pastor
Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, John surrendered his heart to Jesus in his early twenties after being delivered from alcohol abuse and suicidal ideation. Recovery has personally played an important role in his life, and has grown to define the majority of the work God has called him to do. Though John has been working in full-time ministry since 2003, he started his career over 20 years ago as a social worker for the state of Delaware. John is an ordained minster and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Evangel University in Springfield, MO, and graduated with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Delaware State University.
John began serving in full-time ministry in West Virginia helping two churches start and grow recovery ministries. He also served as the Eastern U.S. National Director for Celebrate Recovery. He joined the Temple team in 2015, and currently holds the position of Recovery Pastor. In 2020, John founded Recovery ALIVE!, a Christ-centered 12 step program that helps people suffering from any spiritual, mental or emotional struggle. John continues to help people find hope and healing at the local ministry that reaches churches and individuals from coast to coast.
John has been married 23 years to his beautiful wife Jennene, and he has four daughters, Daisy, Lily, Violet and Rose. He loves to read and spend time with his family.

Tasha Ellington - Recovery ALIVE! Ministry Coordinator
Tasha and her family have been members of Temple since 2018. She is a founding member of Recovery ALIVE!'s leadership team and is now the Ministry Director's Assistant. Since October 2021, she has also worked part-time as Temple's Marketing Director. Tasha loves loving on others and sharing Jesus with them.
Tasha loves traveling and being out in nature. She lives in Clayton with her husband, Chris, and their son Parker. They have two pets, Delta and Thumper.

Corey Myers - Student Pastor & Worship Pastor
Pastor Corey was born and raised in NC and gave his heart to Jesus at the tender age of 10. He began to feel that God was calling him into ministry at the young age of 16. Beginning his ministry journey in music and creative arts, he also served with youth and children as a servant leader. He has been a part of various Music groups and bands, as well as being a Worship Leader. Since 2014, Pastor Corey has been a full-time Worship and Creative Arts Pastor, overseeing all worship experiences, from Sunday mornings to youth events, and conferences. In 2020 God began to re-shift Pastor Corey's focus to youth and deepened the desire to serve our Youth specifically. Pastor Corey joined the Temple team in January 2021, as the Youth pastor. However, being called to ministry means saying “Here I am Lord, Send Me”, so not only has God opened a tremendous door to serve our Youth, He has also opened the door for Pastor Corey to once again lead worship! Pastor Corey now serves as both the Youth Pastor and Worship Pastor here, at Temple Selma. “Can you believe we GET to do this?!”
Pastor Corey is married to the love of his life, Ashley. They met at the young age of 13, and have been together since the age of 16! They have 3 beautiful children Ayden, Liam & Lyric, as well as their fur baby, Nash!

Ashley Myers - Student Pastor Assistant & Worship Pastor Assistant
Ashley was born and raised in NC and began her walk with Jesus at a very young age. She grew up in a large family with Jesus and music at the center of every family aspect. She spent much of her youth, and into her adult life being a part of Worship ministries and children/youth ministries, in every way possible. She has been leading worship since the age of 13 and serving in all aspects of the worship and youth departments, since. She met the love of her life at “church camp” at the young age of 13! Ashley and Pastor Corey have been together since the age of 16 and both felt a call for ministry on their lives. Ashley has served alongside her husband in all aspects of ministry, while also having a career in the dental field. After giving birth to their third child, God began to re-shift their lives. Not only was Ashley walking away from her dental career full time, but God was shifting her husband’s as well, into full time youth ministry. Pastor Corey joined the Temple team in January of 2021. Ashley knew that her calling was to continue to serve alongside her husband in ministry, but on a more complex level. God opened the door for Ashley to join the Temple team in March of 2021, as Pastor Corey’s Assistant. Ashley Is responsible for assisting Pastor Corey in all aspects of Youth and Worship/Creative Arts.
Pastor Corey & Ashley have 3 amazing children, Ayden, Liam and Lyric, and 110lb chocolate lab, Nashville (“Nash”)

TJ Wallace - Creative Arts Director
Faith Elaine Witter - Production Assistant
Faith Elaine graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Production. Having a passion for everything behind-the-scenes, she used her gifts to glorify God by serving on the Media Team at her families church for many years. In 2020, Faith Elaine began attending Temple Selma and serving in the Media Team. She accepted a part-time position at Temple in 2021 and enjoys working with the Media Team to spread the Gospel through Production.
Faith Elaine lives in Wilson with her parents, Franklin and Crystal, her brother, Drew,
as well as her two dogs, Pepper and Hershey.

Yvonne Chelberg - Dream Center Director
Once upon a time the Lord planted a God-sized dream in Yvonne. And now, through Temple Dream Center, He is bringing it to fruition. Her job experience ranges from hand-cutting fir tree boughs for Christmas wreaths and garland in a repurposed chicken coop (yes in the cold MN winter!), to starting a non-profit food pantry and back pack program, to, today, serving at Temple Selma as Dream Center Director. She has lived in four states, MN, NJ, WV and now the lovely NC. She is grateful to y’all for the southern hospitality. The move to NC was the first move where she wasn’t running from something, but instead to go do something - something God had planned for her.
She and her two dogs, Dakota and Lucy, love living on a farm in JOCO.

Ryanne Gardner - Transitions Case Manager
Jamie Henderson - Children's Director
Jamie has been working with Temple since 2013. Her passion is connecting families to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ and loves teaching the Bible. She believes that it takes a community to raise children who know they have a purpose. She loves to partner with agencies such as the Partnership for Children and other local churches to maximize their resources and influence. She spends most of her free time researching fun, simple, and creative ways to share the gospel with children and their families.
She has two children and a grandson. You can usually find her amazing husband, Eric, serving with her in Temple Kids on Sunday mornings.

Stephanie Willard - Children Director's Assistant
Stephanie Willard and her family have been members of Temple since 2006. She has been serving in youth and children's ministry since 2007 and currently works part-time with Temple Kids as the Assistant Children's Director. Stephanie enjoys living out one of God's purposes for her which is working with kids!
She spends her free time with her husband Chris Willard and their 2 boys, Tyler and Eli.
Jennifer Hudda - Learning Center Director
Jennifer was born and raised in North Carolina. She and her wonderful husband, Josh Hudda, have two amazing teenage daughters, Maddison and Emily. Jennifer and her family have been attending Temple for 13 years, and Jennifer has been working at the Learning Center for almost 11 years. Working with children and their families, has always been her passion. In June 2021, she accepted the position as Learning Center Director. She loves being able to fulfill her passion as not only the Learning Center Director, but also the co-director of the Adventures Alive pre-recovery program alongside Jamie Henderson. Both her and Jamie love being able to give kids the tools to deal with all the problems of the world.
In her downtime, Jennifer loves traveling with her family, reading, and sometimes just finding some time to be alone.

Kelly Burman - First Impressions Director
Chris Willard - Executive Director
For over 15 years Chris has been faithfully attending and serving at Temple. You may recognize him from parking each and every Sunday to helping you find a seat. He has been serving as Temple's Usher Director since 2014 and as of 2021 he has moved into the role of Executive Director. Prior to this, he has spent the past two decades in Warehouse Management.
He is an outdoorsman that enjoys hunting and shooting archery in his free time. Chris resides in Pine Level with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children, Ty and Eli.
Regina Rodgers - Finance Director
Regina is a transplant from Alabama, however North Carolina has been “home” for over thirty years. She and her husband Mark have eight children and fourteen grandchildren. Regina and her family have attended Temple since 2015 and many of her children and grandchildren will be found on the two campuses during any of the services. Regina has volunteered with Temple’s Dream Center in various capacities, though her main focus has been in the Homeless Outreach Ministry. Regina’s happy place is anywhere her grandchildren are, though she does enjoy traveling with her husband.
Regina has held various positions in finance, accounting, payroll, human resources and office management for more than twenty-five years. In those positions Regina worked a varied array of retailers, service industries and a national ministry. She thrives in the chaos of numbers, research and problem solving.
Deuteronomy 11:18-21 - Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.
Dorothy Upton - Administrative Assistant
Dorothy had over 45 years of customer service before becoming a staff member at Temple. Her welcoming personality has helped her to make people feel they are her top priority each day. She organizes the Back Pack Buddies Program for West Smithfield Elementary School, and is also a weekly Sunday Greeter here at Temple Selma. Dorothy is available in the office daily to help with any and all needs or situations you may have.

Mark Valasek - Facilities Director
Mark works each week to keep our buildings up and running and squeaky clean! He sets out all the chairs for Sunday morning, cleans the bathrooms, etc.
